Get to Know Luke
I have always been curious to a fault — this was never more evident than when I was three and stuck a key into one of our house’s electrical outlets. While I was thrown across the room and blistered pretty badly, I credit this moment with awakening something inside me; something that had been dormant until that fateful shock: my creativity.
…Juuuuuust kidding. But can you tell that I have an affinity for both superhero origin stories and the dramatic?
I was born and raised in Waco, Texas, surrounded by a large community of family and friends that made me more than happy to call it home. After I was old enough to properly (and safely!) operate a camera, it was rare to see me without one at life’s most important moments. I’ve been making videos, “movies,” shorts, and more for as long as I can remember. This also helped me learn how to take pictures at a very young age, courtesy of my photographer mother.
After making my first-ever shirt design for a high school play that I was in, I was also hooked on graphic design. Soon, I was Photoshopping all of my friends onto superhero bodies and into pictures of their favorite celebrities. This evolved, thankfully, into more professional endeavors and opened up several design-related avenues for me to explore: shirt designs, logos, programs, the high school yearbook, and brochures, just to name a few. I continued to take photos and make videos as well, booking my first wedding videography gig as a college student in the summer of 2015.
After years of hard work and study, I graduated from college in 2018 with a degree in Visual Communication Technology. My academic studies allowed me to create the perfect union between all three of my favorite hobbies and confidently propelled me into the industry.
